Show how much you care about the women in your life by crafting them a special DIY gift straight from the heart. Homemade presents might not be as expensive as something bought from the store, but they are so much more meaningful. Dedicate some of your time and effort to make one of these wonderful gifts that are perfect for your wife, girlfriend, mother, sister, or female friend.
Avoid the overpowering artificially scented candles from the store and create natural homemade beeswax candles. Heat up beeswax to 140°F in a pot on the stove and then pour a small layer into the base of a jar. Place a piece of candle wick into the center of the jar and hold this in place until the wax dries around it. Make an X with tape across the top of the jar, poke a hole through it and then pull the wick through. Fill up the jar with more melted wax to 1/2 inch from the top and wait for it to dry. Cut the wick so it's only half an inch tall, and then it's ready to be lit.

If you know a woman who loves hot cocoa, package them a homemade peppermint version which is full of chocolatey goodness. To make this luscious velvety tasting cocoa, start off by blending candy canes to create one cup of peppermint candy dust. Place the powdered candy canes into a bowl, along with 1 cup of cocoa powder, 1/2 cup of dark cocoa powder and 1 cup of sugar. Whisk the ingredients together until they are evenly mixed, and place the peppermint cocoa into an airtight container. A lot of people like marshmallows with their cocoa, so make sure you package some up with your mix to give your gift the finishing touch. To serve, whisk 1/4 cup of the cocoa mix with 1 cup of milk and heat up in a saucepan.

Geometric Flower Vase
Don't just give her flowers, present them in a modern geometric patterned vase that she can use over and over again. Gather a glass jar and a sheet of metal screen from a hardware store. To cut the screen to the right size for your jar, measure the height of your glass and add an inch, and then measure the circumference of it and add two inches. Cut the screen and wrap it around the jar. The ends should overlap by one inch. Use yarn or twine to secure the screen together by wrapping it through three times in each triangle. If you want to make your vases more colorful, spray paint the metal beforehand, and use coordinating or contrasting yarn.

Lemon Bath Bombs
Pamper the special woman in your life with fresh lemon scented bath bombs that cost less to make than buying them from the store. Combine one cup of baking soda, 1/2 cup of citric acid, 1/2 cup of cornstarch and three tablespoons of epsom salt in a large bowl. In a separate bowl combine two teaspoons of almond oil, 3/4 teaspoon of water, yellow food dye (optional) and your desired amount of lemon essential oil. Pour the wet mixture into the dry mixture and whisk until fully combined. Press a handful together to test if the mixture holds. If it does not, lightly spray the mixture with water to create the right consistency. Place a sugar daisy in each of the plastic ornament molds before pressing the mixture in them. Leave the bath bombs to dry for at least two hours and then remove them from the mold and place on a soft towel to dry overnight. Instead of flowers, give your woman a bouquet of cupcakes. You will need to bake vanilla cupcakes for this gift, but if you don't have much faith in your baking skills, buy plain cupcakes. Pipe buttercream frosting around in a spiral on each cupcake, so it looks like a rose. Place a styrofoam ball into a flower pot and insert two toothpicks in each area of the styrofoam where you want the cupcakes to rest. Slide a cupcake on each pair of toothpicks until the styrofoam is fully covered in them. Scrunch up pieces of green tissue paper and tape it over the exposed parts of the styrofoam between the cupcakes. Then present your gift and watch as the receiver's face instantly lights up.

Transform standard white tiles into an awesome collection of personalized photo coasters. Print and cut out your chosen photos to the same size as your tiles. Coat the front and back of each photo with a thin layer of mod podge and place them on the tiles. Firmly press the air bubbles out of the photos and use a paint brush to smooth out the mod podge. Apply a coat of Dimensional Magic to the top of the tiles to protect them. After it has dried, add felt feet to the bottom of the coasters to prevent the tiles marking surfaces. Then just wrap them up and give your customized gift to your special lady.
